Dolby 3D – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dolby 3D (formerly known as Dolby 3D Digital Cinema) is a marketing name for a system from Dolby Laboratories, Inc. to show three-dimensional films in a digital cinema. An important benefit of the system compared to competing systems is that no special silver screen is needed for it to work. This reduces the cost of transforming a traditional theater to digital 3D.
