3D claims 0.03 per cent of US TV market | 3D Radar
It looks like 3D TV uptake will be a slow burner in the US. The Los Angeles Times recently reported that awareness of the technology was not as high as the AV industry would probably have expected. Nor were sales of 3D TVs particularly strong with Americans spending $55 million on 3D sets, which equates to around 20,000 units. Aproximately 7 million TV sets were shipped to retailers during the same period although only Panasonic and Sony had 3D models available at the time.
