Investors see eye-popping growth for 3-D industry
IF RECENT blockbusters “Toy Story 3″ and “Avatar” are any indication, 3-D movies are all the rage – and bringing in top dollar for movie studios. Now investors will have a chance to cash in.
RealD, the nation’s top supplier of 3-D theater projection gear, is set to sell stock to the public next Friday, and expectations are high.
“The 3-D market is an embryonic growth market right now. If you get in early with a company that dominates the segment, you could do well,” Francis Gaskins, president of stock research firm IPOdesktop.com, told Reuters.
