LOS ANGELES, Sept. 10, 2010 GLOBE NEWSWIRE — IMAX Corporation Nasdaq:IMAX TSX:IMX and Sony Pictures Releasing today announced that Resident Evil: Afterlife, the highly-anticipated fourth installment of the popular film series based on the video game, opens today for a special two-week run on 140 digital IMAX screens domestically, simultaneously with the films wide 2D and 3D North American release at 3,200 + locations. The movie will also open on 24 digital IMAX screens internationally starting today and an additional 20 or more international IMAX screens during the following weeks.
