Bryan Singer’s anticipated take on the Jack And The Beanstalk tale is taking shape with the casting of the lead actor as a “farmer who leads an expedition into the giants’ kingdom to rescue a kidnapped princess.” Nicholas Hoult (X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, CLASH OF THE TITANS) hopes to continue his rapid ascention into greater and greater roles with this opportunity.
Singer is producing X-MEN: FIRST CLASS so it is not a great surprise that he has tapped Hoult for the part.

From talented Indian animation house Maya Entertainment comes Ramayana The Epic (2010) Hindi 3D Animated movie featuring the voices of Manoj Bajpai as Rama, Juhi Chawla as Sita, Ashutosh Rana as Raavana, Mukesh Rishi as Hanuman. The 100-minute movie is directed by Chetan Desai. The international release date is set for Dusshera – October 15, 2010
George Lucas Preparing ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark 3D’ – more entertainment news
After announcing that all six “Star Wars” films will be released in theaters in 3D in 2012, the Blue Sky Disney blog reported that George Lucas also confirmed plans to convert the 1981 blockbuster ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark” to 3D prior to a re-release in cinemas.
According to London’s “Guardian,” the ‘Raiders” announcement continued Lucas’ ongoing efforts to utilize the latest technology to develop new audiences for his modern-day classics.
No word yet if Lucas plans to adapt all four films in the Indiana Jones series for 3D although that seems likely.
