Did you keep your AVATAR 3D glasses after you left the movie theater? Many people saw AVATAR in 3D, in normal 3D or IMAX 3D. You get your special glasses when you give them your ticket, but you don’t always have to hand the glasses back. If you still have the RealD 3D glasses, will you be able to use them to watch AVATAR at home? There is a difference between IMAX 3D glasses and other 3D glasses; active 3D technology and passive 3D technology. Will either work on a home release of AVATAR in 3D?

If you’re planning to pick up a Sony television to enjoy 3D Blu-rays and TV, you’ll need the glasses to go with it.  And unless you pick up the LX900 series, you’re going to need a transmitter too.

Sony’s 3D glasses do pretty much what you’d expect them to do.  There’s no exciting new functionality, just your standard pair of 3D glasses.  They use an IR sensor to get sync information from your TV and they manage to look nice, as far as 3D glasses can look nice.
